After a loved one dies what does it mean when the first thing you see is a hummingbird?

Almost immediately after my grandmother past away a hummingbird fluttered to the window as if it was looking in at us, and at first I thought it was really strange, but when we were at the funeral during the service I saw a hummingbird peering through the stained glass at everyone. And to make this story a bit more odd, we found out before she died she ordered a yearn with hummingbirds on it... Is there a chance she came back as a hummingbird and what does that symbolize?

i dont think she has come back as a hummingbird, but that she definately is messaging you that she is nearby. my dad died 4 weeks ago and a similar thing happened( that i dont care to share here) but that was DEFINATELY a sign.3 members of my family experienced this same thing within a very short time after he passed, and when we told each other, we were absolutely amazed.

now you will always have a special place in your heart for hummingbirds :)

Native Americans believe that different kinds of spirit guides visit you at different stages of your life.  Hummingbirds are telling you to relax and take it easy, everything will be O.K..

Well, a hummingbird takes white light and reflects beautiful iridescent colors and the wings are invisible when they are in flight. They are silent yet you know they are there.

Your grandmother is telling you she is free and silent now.

Your grandmother is telling you to make sure you look at all the beauty that is out there, looking back at you.

And even though your grandmother is invisible like the wings of the hummingbird – she will always be around to send you white light (good energy and joy) and look after you.

Since hummingbirds are the only birds that can fly backwards your grandmother is trying to say, you can accomplish anything you want to accomplish – even what some might say is impossible.
