After a previous scoliosis surgery 2 years ago, I observed a "drop" in my daughters shoulder, is this a?

sign that the curvature of her spine extended towards her upper back. We are looking to avoid that painful surgery for her again, any thoughts of how she can be treated, or does it sound like she needs additional rods placed in her back. (She's only 14 yrs old.)

I didn't experience anything like this.  I'm really not sure what you're describing.  To be certain, I'd take your daughter for an appointment with your scoliosis specialist.  He's most likely going to say that everything's all right.  In the unexpected case where there *is* something wrong, you'll get an experienced and accurate answer from him.
