After a really hot day the leaves on my suflowers look burned. I have thoroughly watered them.Please advise.?

  1. the leaves look burned because your not ment to water the leaves especialy not when its very sunny try just watering the roots


  2. you should never water plants when it is really or in direct sunlight because the heat will drain the water back out . water them in the evening when the weather has cooled down this will help also if your plants still look like they need a doctor give them a small dose of neuts with you can get at any plant or gardening store this will help your plants recover.

  3. Did you water them before this happened. If so that could be the problem. Water early in the AM. This not only gives them plenty of time to use the water but also allows time for the water to run off the leaves. The water drops can actually act as little magnifiers of the suns rays during the heat of the day.

  4. If you have waterd them and the siol is not dry try using a plant food of some type.
