After a shocking week 14, The McCoy’s Premier League enters the semi-finals!
We are finally in to the semi-finals of the McCoy’s Premier League 2012 and it has certainly been the best Premier League.
It was epic - names like Adrian Lewis and Raymond van Barneveld being kicked out on May 10 by comparatively less experienced players like Simon Whitlock and Andy Hamilton.
Phil “The Power” Taylor, Simon Whitlock, James Wade and Andy Hamilton are through to the last four in the darts extravaganza.
In the semi-finals, Phil Taylor is facing James Wade and Simon Whitlock will be going up against Andy Hamilton.
“The Wizard” has been the most surprising act in this year’s Premier League. Whitlock, in his last game, threw the world number two Lewis screaming out of the competition by beating him 8-6 in a thrilling match.
Whitlock has been the most promising player in the entire competition thus far. He stood out tall in a group of experienced players who have ruled the darts world. For him to outshine such giants has defined Whitlock as an outstanding dart thrower.
Phil Taylor, who was been thought as someone who will humiliate Gary Anderson but that was not the case. Gary Anderson fought well and at the end gave “The Power” a 7-7 finish exiting the League in a respectable manner.
This year’s League has been up and down for big players such as Taylor, Lewis or Wade. Their play-offs have been average as compared with names like Whitlock, Hamilton and Wade.
Nothing can be said in pure confidence regarding the semi-finals starting from May 17th as surprises have been pleasant and abundant throughout the League.
The bets are on Phil Taylor as he is more likely to overlap all odds once again with tons of experience and magic on his side. Whitlock glooms around as a major threat against anyone as his win against Lewis has left many fans stunned.
Taylor and Whitlock are most likely to proceed to the finals as Taylor brings in his legendary play and Whitlock brings in an amazing amount of self-belief and will to the game.
The semi-finals are a must watch for entertainment lovers and brings in a lot of interesting fixtures as the McCoy’s Premier League comes to its final battle.
