It really depends which part of London, there are numerous clubs and bars or if you just want to soak up some atmosphere either Covent Garden or Leicester Square.

Go to Roadhouse club in Covent Garden.  It's great music, live cover bands and you can always get served at the bar.  It's £12 to get in and open till 3.  It's huge downstairs with 3 bars and a stage and 2 dance floors.  If you just want a drink and not a club then the irish Porterhouse bar on Maiden Lane is great because it's on 4 floors and huge with a large downstairs area, their own drinks and a huge (massive!) beer menu.  I recommed the Fruli strawberry beer and Chiller lager.  For more of a party atmosphere then head to Los Locos in Covent garden.  It's smaller but crazier and cozier and everyone there is just there to dance and have a good time - it's open till 3 as well.  If you're a serious dancer/clubber then the Gardening Club in Covent Garden is for you.

Most shows finish between.. 10.00 - 10.25 pm, so if you are within the theatre land catchment area,... fill your boots, there are hundreds of places to go.......no doubt someone will list a selection of clubs, bars etc. there are too many to list without knowledge of your preferences.
