After an 11 year relationship with a sociopath.I'm glad it's over but finding it hard to let go of obsessive ?

thoughts and thinking about his new victim. I'm finding it hard to begin my new life there is so much devastation, my friends have left, it has been a very difficult 6 months, It's finally over (he left me for someone else,but would NEVER leave when I tried to end it), but I'm angry,feel abandoned, etc Any ideas?

  1. no matter how bad the marriage was u will still miss him,and its hurt your ego if he dumped u. join a self help divorce recovery group,where u can talk about it to others who will understand. just be glad she has the problems now, and not u, u are the lucky one here only u can't see it yet.things happen for a reason,we don't always understand why things happen, but a new life is right around the corner once u let go of the old life and hurts.it was meant to be this way.

    The best way to get even, is be happy and successful.

  3. ya be happy its done. I have a ex friend that was a sociopath! She lies, steals, manipulates, does drugs i could go on for hours. They are very annoying and if they dont get there way they get pissed and start crying so u will feel sympathetic for them! So ya be happy u got rid of him!
