Hello there,

I want to go to school after I immigrate to the States but I am concerned about the 5 years to become a citizen... Because you need to become a citizen to pay NORMAL school fees right? If not, I would be an international student, meaning that I have to pay expensive fees, and won't be able to apply for student aid (FAFSA)... Right?

Please guide me, thank you!

  1. After you become a US Citizen or an eligible non citizen, you can apply for federal student aid and get the cheaper tuition.
