  1. I work at an animal hospital and It is very very unlikely that your dog could be pregnant. As someone pointed out, The males " reproductive parts" are gone and unless the surgeon did something wrong, or you got a miracle hound, you got no worries. ♥ If you feel troubled, go to your local vet and get your dog a pregnancy test.

  2. No she can not get pregnant if he was neutered as that is where they remove his testicals and there is no little sperms left to inpregnate a female with...

Edit--just read some of the comments---the sperm is stored in the testicals and nuetering a dog is totallu different then having a male humane doing a vicectamy...a vicectomy only ties of the tube to the testicals as where nuetering a dog is removal of all the males testicals that produces and stores the sperm, there for it is impossible for your girl to have gotten pregnant...

but in addition you need to be more carefull as that could have riped his stiches..

edit--raven---sorry but males dogs are different then humans and I have studied the animal side of it, train as a vet tec...it is just like a femal being spayed, everything is removed thus no eggs, and thus no sperms...

  3. Why was he allowed to hook your female?

Please get her spayed asap.... Especially if you don't know the correct terminology in breeding-- you will not be able to successfully whelp a litter of puppies! (dog's don't hook!)

  4. NO, HE IS NEUTERED.

  5. Yes it is possible

  6. Yep.  And you're really lucky he didn't rip his stitches!

  7. Yes it's possible.  Why were they together?

  8. It's possible.

  9. Yes as everyone has pointed out. Go and get your female spayed as soon as she is out of heat.

Sperm while produced by the testicles is not stored there and thus he will still have fertile and motile sperm for about the next month as it takes 15 days for sperm to full mature.

Its the same reason when human men get vasectomies that have to go give samples until  they come up free of viable sperm.

To the Thumbs Down People : Why don't you study biology as it applies to male reproduction? Sperm is created in the testicles. Sperm cells are stored and mature in the Vas Deferens - the tubing connecting the p***s and testicles. These cannot be removed during the neuter procedure. So guess what yes in fact if a recently fixed male is around an in heat female he will mount he will tie and he will more than likely impregnate her as long as there is mature sperm in his system.

  10. yes

takes 6 weeks to be effectiveee

    can you say

    hello babyy

  11. Yes Raven is completely right. Goggle it.

  12. Yes, a neutered dog can have viable sperm up to 90 days after it has been neutered. I was told this by a vet today as we were discussing fixing my pups.

  13. No because the males parts are already gone and they aren't returning. I don't believe that your female is pregnant. Very unlikely.
