  1. Nope,

But you do have to realize,

You will out grow some of your friends from the past.

It is the same as going to college,

Some of your friends, can accept your different now,

And some, think you should be exactly like you used to be.

And you yourself, having changed, will no longer want to be around some of your past friends, after you notice, they are just plain stupid or idiots.

  2. Nope. There is an adjustment period, but it only takes a day or two.  Home is always home.

  3. I loved going back home.  Mom's food was always 1000% better and I could sleep in.  The chicks were all over me too.

  4. Yes.  Whenever you haven't saluted anyone all day, you get nervous and feel guilty.

When you don't have a hat to put on when you step outside you get that uneasy out-of-uniform feeling.

  5. Nope. Spent two years in Iraq and there is an adjustment period that only lasts for a few days. When getting ready to leave McDonald's, I would reach for my weapon that normally would be at feet when eating in the dining facility. I've also run numerous stop signs and red lights and make abrupt lane changes when going under overpasses which is just force of habit. It passes. If not, you might want to go talk to your Chain of Command.
