Question:

After casting on in knitting.. how do you build down?

all the instructions online i've read, didn't mention anything about it.. on the next step, the bottom part is already built.. so if anyone found a video or instructions about that...please put in the link :)

  1. It sounds like you are going to have to do a join. I say this because you said that the bottom is already done and you're working on a new section that goes above the bottom?

    I think that the best looking join is a mattress stitch, but if you're join is horizontal then you'll need a kitchener stitch. There is a video on knittinghelp.com I've put the link below. About halfway down the page there is a section that says "Finishing". The kitchener and mattress stitches are listed in this section.

    I don't know if I've interpreted your problem correctly but that's how I am understanding it. I hope that it helps.
