After changing the visa from B1-B2 to F1 do we need to take again the visa in our country?

Suppose, i have the visa B1-B2 and i want to convert that into F1 after converting if i go back to my country then do i need to take the visa again or the same visa will work or is there any other process ?

  1. When you have a B-2 and you switch to an F-1, you will have to get a new I-94 with the F-1 status.  The B-2 is good for up to 6 months, but the F-1 is good for as long as you go to school, so it's to your advantage to get the F-1
