After conquering Kinsley, Monleek Town all set to be successful at Peterborough
Monleek Town, who won Betfred Sprint at Kinsley a few days ago, is now ready to do the same at Peterborough, where he will face five quick hounds in the Fengate Sprint on Wednesday, April 24, 2013.
The black dog’s recent stats are outstanding. Winning three of the previous four races shows how good rhythm he is currently in. He started his April campaign on a winning note, when beating Bushy Miko by 3¾ lengths.
After doing the damage here on April 3rd, he went to Kinsley and continued the great job. On April 7th, the audience saw him taking the top prize easily by one and a half lengths. His winning journey came to halt on April 10th,
when he got crowded right at the start of a tough race here.
But the dashing hound did not lose confident despite an awful defeat. He quickly put his journey back on the winning ways, and won a tough sprint at Kinsley on April 17th. It was a great performance.
The David Pruhs-trained was quickly away. He stayed ahead all the way through, and grabbed the prize by 1¾ lengths. After such an excellent performance, the son of Kinlock Brae is ready to get more.
Other runners in the pack are: Boyneside Banty, Cloncunny Max, Caz Rage, Pennys Pong, and Splashanomic. The 250 metres short race is due to begin at 20:15 GMT. A cash prize of 150 pounds is reserved for the champion.
Caz Rage recently hinted that his turn could be just around the corner. Out of the last five races, the black dog was runner-up on four occasions. All he needs is a slice of luck.
Pennys Pong is on a losing run, and must track clever early. As far as Splashanomic’s prospects are concerned, it is hard to get excited. Cloncunny Max still retains plenty of enthusiasm.
Boyneside Banty may have to take another back seat behind Monleek Town, who looks the most powerful runner in this crew. He surely has the chance of going out wide after leaving the sixth box. We wish the best of luck to all the hounds.
