This is also not my horse just a lesson horse that I take lesson's on. Just curious how it gets raised since the cross rails are just lying on the ground.

  1. about a foot and a half. most cross rails are about a foot high anyway.

  2. Usually after crossrails come a small vertical, like 18" or so. Your trainer may decide to start them a little smaller, but 18" is standard.

  3. Well you could do higher cross rails.... otherwise a vertical

  4. I was say anywhere between 1 foot- 18" vertical

  5. 18 inches - 2 feet. the best way to do it is to gradually move it up :)

  6. Cross rails isn't a height it's a type of jump. You certainly won't go from poles on the ground to a foot. It will most likely be a half a foot.

  7. probably 18"

My trainer will occasionally spend extra time over largish x-rail and allow people to move straight up to 2 foot.
