After downloading, install takes for ever.gets to 100%. but never installes.?

I have downloaded and My friend downloanded and installed it with no problem. He put it on a disk for me. I have tried it from that and the internet. I get it downloaded but when it goes to install, it takes for ever to get to 100% and still never installes.I even deleted all Yahoo programs except mail.
