  1. The videos has to be in DVD format, also most players wont play RW discs

  2. Actually, a smart video to dvd creator is available for mac user.

    check here:

  3. DVD-Video is a specific encoding and formatting that set-top DVD players can understand and play.  You have been making data DVDs that are only readable by a computer.

    I like Roxio's products: http://www.roxio.com/enu/products/mydvd/...

Or if you have access to a Mac, just use iDVD.

  4. It has something to do with the format of the videos, .avi .mpg .vob .rm .mmv .DAT etc. Recent players support .avi formats, but still some of  them doesn't. If you want it to be a DVD, then make it a DVD. Easy program is Nero Vision (which is included in Nero 6,7,and 8) . It takes sometime though (around 1.5hrs). There are many other programs available too.

PS. Don't expect your DVD player to be a computer, Computers are more brilliant, where as DVD players are not.... most of them.
