A month ago, My wife (31 years) had to go for a laparotomy to remove the right side fallopian tube for a seven weeks pregnancy. This was the first pregnancy. At first observations the Doctors couldn't find it as ectopic pregnancy but in the 7th week when they found ectopic (tubal) pregnancy, they said its too late now and we have to go for laparotomy to remove the left fallopian tube before it ruptures. My questions are:Was it right decision by Doctors to make laparotomy at this stage? Will she or someone conceive with one fallopian tube? What are the future pregnancy chances? Is there any chances for ectopic pregnancy again if yes then what could happen? What precautions we should take? Please Please Please give the answer in detail. Thanks

Guest253, you have made my day, i too only recently had an ectopic pregnancy and am almost willing to do anything to become pregnant again, the pain and suffereing is horrible and i wish that none of us are made to go through any of this.....My OB has reassured my DH and myself and once my cycle decides to "kick" back in we will be hopefully back on track - Knowing i dont have one of my fallopian tubes plays on my mind everyday but i pray and hope that my lefty will take over and do all the work for us.
You read so many negative things on sites like these and everyone is quick to tell you what wont happen and thats just not the case, we have not fallen yet but i know we will because it's stories like yours and your correct information that help people like me...so for that i thank you :o)
