  1. Ok first of all what you have is not a Virus, but it is maleware! or Spyware!

Anyway if you have just downloaded the latest version (2008) then you just hint (not too hard! lol) the remove button and then if you you click on finish and it doesn't give you a message saying that there is still something there, it has removed it.

It does not make it clear that it has gone be if it says that it is still there then e-mail me and we will talk further on the subject ;-))

  2. This is adware rather than a virus.  I would suggest using Spybot - Search & Destroy  (FREE)

    Spyware Terminator (FREE)

    Advanced WindowsCare V2

I don't have a specific Adware remover right now.  Having trouble finding one I can trust.  The problem with demos, which I'm assuming your adware program is is that they scan but won't fix problems until you pay.

Also, get Avast Antivirus its free, also, and updates at least once a day.

Spyware Begone is another good free program.  I use multiple programs since a single one seems not to catch all the problems.

The problem with pay to use programs that are evaluated by a scan is that some give false positives to make you think they're finding a lot.

All the programs above will show you how to fix the problem.

Also, don't use IE its full of holes and very slow and tends to crash.  I use FireFox with a lot of add-ons and its still faster than IE.  My son says Opera is better.

I'm going to try Removeit Pro as listed above.

  3. trendmicro.com and use house call.

it's free, and self explanatory. they ask

for a donation but it is free, it does take

a bit of time. but works great! everyone

has their favorite, that is my choice!

easy! just do it d. you will be watching

for prompts for a bit of time. so plan

on watching it work and making the

proper selections! seen your edit. your scan should quarantine the virus on it's own if your

settings are correct. check and see or have it removed by the above. i don't know what u use for

antivirus. so i cannot get specific about it!

good luck! BTW malware is basically the same as a virus! it will slow you down and corrupt your pc.

so the answer below is not exactly correct. trust me on that 1.

  4. Update your anti-virus, remember to only have one anti-virus installed on your PC

    Download SuperAntiSpyware

Restart your PC in safe mode, and run a full scan with both.

While in safe mode, you may also want to have a look at your start up items by using msconfig.

Be careful with the items you uncheck, you can have a look here to see if they are necessary

You should also have a look at your IE Add-ons while in safe mode.

Disable any you do not use.

After you reboot back to normal mode, download and install ccleaner to fix any registry problems and clean up old temp files.

  5. Removeit pro enterprise:

    http://www.download.com/RemoveIT-Pro-Ent...

You can find it almost anywhere.  It is a great virus scanner that finds viruses other checkers cant, and its FREE!  It also gets the virus database updated regularly (every few days), so it can catch the latest bugs.  I use it along with NOD32, which I have running to protect my internet connection.  I use removeit to do scans when I think something is wrong.  Give it a shot!

  6. You can generally delete them by selecting them and then click delete it and it should go.

You could also do a ad aware scan, do not do it at the same time as they may conflict between each other.

  7. See if you can find a full version of Norton and have that sweep up the computer, cuz you dont want to lose all ur data by putting a fresh disk on it.

I have a Norton  Corporate Edition...

  8. well the program you use should generally have a program to remove said virus. Without knowing what you are using I cant really say
