After finishing dinner, my friend made this comment, quote"that was very fulfilling"unquote. Huh!?

Could someone please explain, I did not realize this was the proper way to use the word fulfilling in a sentence, I don't know, maybe there is something I need to learn today.

    It's an idiomatic phrase in English.

    Basically that means that there's no real way to explain why it's like that. It just IS. There are lots of phrases in the English language that don't follow a rule. They're idioms, aka, that's just the way they are, and there's no other way to explain them.

  5. fulfilling is a more... proper? word i guess you could say. some people think its better table etiquette. either way works though lol :]
