I recently got a new cable box that has DVR, and after having it installed, my screen is very stretched out. For example, on news broadcasts, I can't see the bottom of the screen where it would usually have a description of the story. It's as if the screen is "magnified".

I checked all the menu options for my TV, and there is none regarding screen size. I also checked the options on the cable box, but I could only find a menu item that moves the screen up or down, but that only applies to the Comcast tv guide menu.

What do I do to fix this? It's really distracting and I can't see half the information on the screen.

The cable box is Pace SD DVR, and the TV is a Panasonic.

  1. Unless your tv is ancient there's got to be a "picture" button on the remote control.  It sure sounds as if you have the picture on Zoom.

It won't always be in the TV menu, but should be on the remote.
