  1. no side effects and long term effects, no more worries about getting pregnant.

  2. Besides heavier periods, there may be a link between tubal ligation and increased occurance of fibroids. As far as depression, I think that's a resonable response to ligation. You've made a decision to not bring any more children into your life that is very difficult to reverse. Even if you don't want more, it can still be a grieving process to know that that phase of life has ended for you, and that you're saying goodbye to the kids that 'could be' even if we weren't planning on ever having them.

There is some argument that blocking the fallopian tubes may cause other problems from blocking body energy flow. I don't know if i agree with that, but with the increasing evidence in support of eastern medicine, i won't dismiss it.

  3. I've had my tubes ties since 2005! At first my tummy was really sore. I had cramping, in my tummy, my back ached! This lasted for a few weeks, when I was told only a few days.

Since then my periods are very heavy, I get migrains worse then before, i get pains in my belly buttom, my back hurts all the time, i went throught a depression thing I get debillating pains in my sides, bad mood swings! etc, all within the first year, i've talked to my dr. and he says its nothing to do with getting my tubes tied etc. So I stopped going to the dr.! All this started when I got my tubes tied! I'm told it has nothing to do with getting my tubes tied! bUt I'm sorry I dont believe that!

Doctors say there really isnt any side effects with getting your tubes tied, other then tubal pregs,  butlike i said i dont believe it!
