After graduating in a different engineering degree, is it possible to wrk for another type of engineering?

e.g graduating in aerospace...can one move to wrk for a structual or civil engineerin firm? if so, hw can it be done?

  2. Yes, especially with a good mentor.

  3. Most definitely!  The opportunities may be limited, but I have done it now for 30 years.  Of course, I now have 30 years of experience and none of it in my field of study.  Now it is unlikely I can go back into that field in anything other than an entry level position.

    So this can work both ways.

  4. this is what the industry is like nowadays..they hire someone with engineering background but working with the post that has no related at all to his/her studies..


  5. apply and see.  I see alot of employment advertisments that say they will sometimes.

  6. Ideally you get better pays when you work in the same field.. Going to different field is a matter of wish and then luck.. Mostly firms do not prefer..
