  1. you NEVER pay in advance to win a prize.  Any legitimate lottery takes taxes or other charges out of the amount you win, and never make you pay first.  If you are asked to pay any money before you can collect your 'prize" then it is absolutely a scam and if you pay you will never see your 'prize' or any money you send them again.

Please take a minute or two to look up "lottery scam" "lottery fraud" "advance fee fraud" to see all the ways scammers are trying to steal your money.

  2. I hope you did not send them the money.  There is NO PRIZE!!!!!!  It is a scam and it comes in many forms of sob story aobut needing to get millions of dollars out of their country.  They always need you to send them money before they send you money.  Watch out for all of these. Especially the ones where the subject line says "Dear Friend" or "Urgent reply needed" and they come from a denfinitely foreign sounding name and their grammar is very poor.

  3. You were scammed and they took your money! It was all a lie!
