After having a great holiday in Bulgaria we had a 16 hr delay?

we were told by my Gold Service insurance that they wont pay any insurance on BMIBABY saying that the delay was due to cabin sickness.THat means nearly 400 people wont get get any compensation anyone heard of that poor excuse

    As a piece of general advice, which may not help THIS time, read the 20 pages of your insurance policy before you go, not just when you have a problem.   Travel insurance prices vary widely - mostly, the cheaper ones have cunning exclusions so they don't have to pay.

    However, I am not sure what the h**l "cabin sickness" is?   If it is absence of cabin crew due to illness then I would be surprised if that was an excuse.

    Read the policy, appeal if you have got grounds.  Also, see if they belong to the Financial Ombudsman scheme.  However, bear in mind that the average policy only £10 - £20 for a 12+ hour delay.
