After how many days in the fridge should you toss out cooked shrimp?

I had delicious shrimp stir fry takeout on Tuesday & I had leftovers yesterday & there is still a lot left. I'm eating at my friend's house tonite (and no, leftover takeout isn't needed or wanted there...heh, I even asked...rascal that I am). I don't want to get food poisoning but I have no idea how long it's safe to keep this! Should I freeze it?

And yes, I am a cheapskate. A gluttonous cheapskate. And yes, I do remind myself of Home and his moldy sub he refused to give up. A lot.

  1. Don't eat it after 2 days. You eat it the day after you get it then throw out whatever you have left over. You WILL get a dodgy stomach if you keep it - its sea-food.

  2. Throw it out NOW! Eating it the next day was fine, but after that it should have been thrown out. Seafood in a sauce will contaminate the sauce when it is cooling down, and will therefore contain a bacteria, even when re-heated,the bacteria will remain.

  3. Get Glad containers, freeze single meals for later.

3 days limit for any kind of meat of seafood..etc...
