  1. 3 years of consecutive active duty entitles you to 100% of the GI Bill.

  2. The GI Bill just got updated a few weeks ago so the new details are still to be made. As it stands right now, all branches of the military follow the same rules, you need three years in before you can draw from the GI bill. The new GI bill is awesome because you no longer have to pay for it AND if you serve at least ten years you can transfer the money to your spouse and kids. Also consider most branches (At least the Air Force and Navy as far as I know) pay for college while you are in and you won't need to touch the GI Bill to get a degree. If you have not already done so I suggest you join up. Join the mighty Air Force but if you insist the other branches will do. Good luck!

  3. 25

  4. Well if you go Reserves you can start using the GI Bill as soon as you hit the fleet, but granted since it's the Reserves you only get a few hundred dollars every month towards your schooling. I was a Reservist and I used to get about $319 every month paid directly towards me from the GI Bill, which I usually used to books and stuff like that.
