  1. Vista is better than XP and every child know that . but for running Vista Well (best) u must have atleast 4 GB of ram (bas 800) And DualCore CPU better than intel E2180

So if u want to have Vista u must change your CPU and Ram or change back to XP \ but I I think upgrate your system \ and if u want a good grafic better to get  atleast Geforce 8600GT to see Vista Graphic

  2. Well your computer is powerful enough to run Vista certainly, so that's not the problem fortunately. Another Answerer said that you have a memory problem, but that's not true (so don't worry about spending more money on memory, though more is always good with Vista for sure)  I have Vista on my laptop, and I only have 1 GB of memory, everything runs very smoothly, so your 1.25GB definitely is not the problem.  A lot of times when you upgrade an operating system things just don't go very well, especially with the new Vista. Programs and settings are sometimes not compatible and when installing the new OS they aren't automatically fixed.

The best bet for you is to back up everything you really want to keep (like photographs, documents, music) and can't just re-download (like programs or game installations) to CD/DVD or another hard drive and do a "clean install" of Vista. To do that you boot from the CD (turn your computer on with the Vista disk in the drive and press F12 usually) and choose to delete the partition your XP install is on. This way everything will be running as it should under Vista, and no XP settings will be left behind. Just make sure you definitely back up everything you want, otherwise it'll be gone for good.

This was only a problem for me because I was using a laptop with wireless internet access only, but when I did a clean install I couldn't get online anymore because I didn't have the correct driver for my wireless card. Make sure that you can get Vista drivers for all your hardware before you do a clean install. If nothing else you can download them now, and back them up on the hard drive or CD's with your photo's and music.

If you won't have a problem getting on the internet after the new install then you can just go to the computer manufacturer's website and download the Vista drivers for your specific computer.

  3. Because going from XP to Vista is a downgrade, not an upgrade. Stick with XP!

  4. Vista requires more memory.  It sounds like a memory issue to me.  You can always check in task manager and see how much physical memory is free.  Also turn off the aero desktop interface.  That can use a lot of memory and CPU time.
