After i vacation in chicago, where next?

Is there a national park or anywhere else beautiful near to Chicago that would be good to stay in for 2 or 3 days?

you have the chain-o-lakes park.  ther is camping there.  some small hotels and BB in the area.  real nice depending on what time of year your going.

Go east to the Western shores of lake Michigan. There are beautiful beaches from Michigan City IN to Traverse City MI. There is a neat little winery in Fennville MI.

Milwaukee also has a lot of attractions.

Starved Rock is a really cool place to camp and boat. Look it up on google. It's only about an hour or so from Chicago.
