After inflation adjustment, how have average wages in the US changed in the past 20 years?

Real wages have significantly declined, a fact that is widely neglected in the business press.  Sometimes, misleading reports are constructed to show that household income is the same or slightly higher today than in the '50s (to try to demonstrate that labor is doing well today), but what is not mentioned is that more people per household must work to make ends meet--and U.S. citizens must work longer hours than previously.
