After knowing the true count

for example I got a true count of +5

my betting unit is 20

how much should I raise the bet to?

pls explain in detail thx

  1. you want to raise it in the order of around 20 times your minimum bet.... soo here we would want to start pushing $400 a hand. Thats the simple answer...

    Its get complicated because now your looking at playing 8 deck shoes and usually only to play half... so you need to know even your true count won't be 100% reliable so maybe we need to bring our spread down to account for that.

    Also... now we need to work how we're going to get away with it? Heres a casino tip, computers track the true count now as well so its no longer even a matter of hiding it from the pit boss with some elaborate show... theres a computer which will alarm security personell that there may be a potential card coutner.. I would expect most of the major casinos have this set up by now.
