After laying ceramic tile, should i file down the edges on the cut diagonal pieces?

is it that important? it still won't look like a factory edge but maybe friendlier to bare feet? seems like you just lose more glazing

  1. I just did ceramic tile in my bathroom, floor and bath area, and it turned out really nice. I wouldnt worry about the cut edge when you grout it doesnt show as bad. Good luck and have fun


  2. depends on where the piece will be...file it if you will walk on it barefoot.

  4. There is a stone you can get to do this i would use it on the cut edges after you cut before you stick tiles down

  5. you can. And it makes a cleaner edge BUT it also takes off a small portion in the glazing and color of the tile and can make for a weird looking line that shouldnt be there

    all depends on what color the tile is, the color of the ceramic and the color of the grout
