i was riding around today on my motocross bike. Its a Honda CRF 230.

I layed it down on its side for about 1 minute.(I couldnt use the stand cause it was uneven ground). Then when i got back on it it was really hard to get it started. I had been riding around for ages so the engine was warm. Why was it hard to get started? Is it not supposed to be layed down?

  1. Always stand it up. Look for something to lean it against if the stand can't be used. I had a YZ250A that didn't even have a stand on it. I just leaned it against the things around me and left it in gear so it wouldn't fall.

  2. it was flooded, when you layed it on its side you pretty much just let all your expensive fuel run through your carby and out your overflow....get a stand

  3. No its not supposed to be laid on its side, it is made to stand up.

All you did though was flood the engine. let the gas drain off and it will start again.
