i recently changed my processor from a sempron 3100 to an athlon 64 3200 and also changed my graphics card from an agp ati radeon 9550 to an agp ati radeon X1650 . Both of these worked for a couple of days, then when i tryed to power up my computer for the first time one day, it shut down after a second of being on, and the second time i turned it on, it started up normally, except it didnt show the log in screen after the loading windows xp home edition screen was done, it was only a black screen. when i shut the computer down, and started it back up, a screen appeared to change the settings back to the best known working settings, so i tryed and it still wouldnt show the loading screen, i tryed loading it normally several times, but it hasnt changed. i have checked the connections from the power supply, and they all are connected, i dont know if the problem is with my power supply, it is 480 watts or my motherboard, an abit kv-85, or my graphics card, because the graphics card had worked for a couple of days before.
