After logging into yahoo successfully, my screen immediately freezes. How do I resolve?

When I login to Yahoo with my ID and password (anywhere in Yahoo, on any screen, not just email), Yahoo accepts and goes to the next screen successfully. However, immediately upon the next screen coming up, it immediately freezes up. What I mean by this, is that I am unable to access any links on the page, etc. and even unable to minimize or close the screen/browser (I have to close by accessing Task Manager). The screen is completely frozen. I believe this is only a problem on specific PC, since problem does not occur on other machines. However, the problem is ONLY with my specific yahoo ID. I had to create another yahoo ID just to be able to post this question (it obviously works fine). At any rate, I'm thinking this must be a settings issue on my PC related to my yahoo ID. I have already cleared my cache/deleted cookies and it did not help. I am using Windows XP and IE 6.0. What could the problem be and what might be some possible fixes? Thank You.

  1. I've also had the same problem for the past four days. I've changed ID and set up new account which works fine. However, "Yahoo Help" has not addressed concerns related to original ID and account.

  2. I have had the exact same problem beginning yesterday afternoon.  Altho I could check my Yahoo email at home last night, for the past 2 days at work my screen has been freezing up so that I cannot check my email at all.  We are on a network and have Windows Pro 2000.  This is very frustrating.
