Question:

After miscarriage, does your cycle return to normal?

I had a miscarriage in June. About six weeks later I got my period. However, if my cycle is back to normal I should've had it again by now and I haven't. I took a pregnancy test just in case but it was negative. Is it usual for your cycle to be out of whack for a while? If so, how long did it take before your cycle returned to normal? Thank you!

  1. Hi

I know what how irritating it is trying to figure out when your period is going to come!!! I had a misscarraige at the end of May and did not get my period until 38 days later, then my 2nd period I got only 28 days later and im still waiting for my 3rd period to show Im any where from  5 days late to maybe 3?  on CD 34 right now and not quit sure what to expect I have not tested yet I figured  I would wait till after CD38 since that was the longest cycle i had. Anyways just a comparison on whacky my cycle has been after having a misscarraige, I was kinda of thinking that mine should have been regular by now but hopefully maybe its just late for better reason!!!! Good Luck and sorry about the loss I know its hard.

  2. i had a miscarriage and d&c done in october 2005.  My period was out of whack for about 2 years and now i'm 36 weeks pregnant.  I got pregnant while my period was irregular.  I really cant tell you how long it will take but I think everyone is different.

  3. everyone is different and i think that's why they say wait a couple of cycles to try again,i had a miscarriage couple weeks ago and I'm scared for my next period, cuz your cycles are out of whack

    good luck to you
