After my friend has finished her period she starts to bleed again.?

It is not as heavy as a normal period and the blood is more of a brown colour.

Can you give any advice?

Thats normal , its sometimes a brown colour when you very first come on aswell .

Well you didn't mention if she's just starting getting her period.  If thats the case, it's very normal.  And even if she's had her period there are times are body needs to rid of old blood.  Thats what the brownish color discharge is.  I"m sure she's just fine, but if she's really concerned about it have her ask her mom or perhaps mention it to her doctor at her next visit.

     Itis not normal.Your friend has dysfunctional uterine bleeding.The reasons can be as simple as anaemia to more serious as tumors.She needs medical care.

This may be a blood clot or remnants in the UT that did not slough off with the rest of the endometrium. You must also examine the rectal opening too to make sure it is not a rectal bleed.

It sounds like it's just spotting. Brown blood is old blood, so she probably just wasn't quite finished with her period, and her body's getting rid of the excess blood. It's not uncommon to have brown blood at the start or end of your period.
