  1. yes that's enough time. i had 5 bridesmaids and 5 groomsmen, and after the ceremony my family and my hubby's family came up to the altar and we took tons of different shots, some with just the bridal party, some with my family, some with his, some combined. it only took about 25 minutes or so.

  2. No. I'd allow at least an hour for photos with both families, grandparents, both sets of parents and a few of the bridal party.

  3. thats a lot of people and can be chaos. Try taking some pictures before the wedding. We did the bride with bridesmaids and then the groom with groomsmen in the church before the wedding.

You just need to make someone the "lookout" so the bride and groom dont see each other

  4. Sometimes people have the formal pictures made before the wedding ceremony even begins.  That way those will be finished by the time the other guests arrive for the ceremony and the photographer can take candid shots of the ceremony and then you can go directly to your reception and there will be no time lost.

  5. NO, I'd opt for minimum l hour, but call the photographer and ask their opinion..........too many people, they will probably have some re-takes, plus, it also depends on what you originally want pic taken of.???or how many......you need to take that into consideration.

  6. Ask your photographer.  I personally think you need an hour unless you are only having a very few portraits done.

If you have a very popular venue and there is another wedding scheduled closely after yours, they often do some of the shots before the wedding and the rest afterwards.

  7. you probably need like an 1hr and 30 minutes for both of them.

  8. probably not at my dad and step moms wedding it took about 30 for each family

  9. No, plan at least an hour for that.  Remember, you will want "couple" pictures, wedding party pictures, and family pictures, and the photographer isn't going to take just one or two of each.

However, have this during "cocktail time" at your reception, or let the reception begin without you, that way people can enjoy the hors d'oeuvres and mingling, and you can make your entrance after all of your guests are there.
