After one year of “The Decision” would LeBron James repeat the same old mistakes? : NBA Update

Last year on July 8, 2011 LeBron James declared in a television show “The Decision” that the he is shifting to Miami Heat to accompany Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.
Since then veteran small forward’s life has been like a roller coaster ride, as he received lot of criticism over that TV interview. The media has been after him since then and James been portrayed as a villain despite of his so
many achievements at a very young age.
Most of his statements were judged and criticised with lot more intensity than before and as compared to another player. It seems that his equivalents in the league, who came after him would barely able to draw the same kind of
attention from the basketball fans, as James was able to receive.
The major reason behind James mammoth fame were his achievements that started coming when the Heat’s forward was not even in the league. LeBron was named Mr. Basketball on three occasions during his time as a sophomore in school,
where he was termed as the upcoming superstar of National Basketball Association.  King is the only player, who has signed a shoe contract with NIKE before starting his professional career.
Then, after getting picked up as a No. 1 overall in the 2003 NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers, James proved his worth that what he can bring to the table. In his first year LeBron won the honour of Rookie of the Year and later
in 2008-09 and 209-10 seasons he was named the Most Valuable Player.
King became the key member of the Cavs offensive unit, as he led them to playoffs from 2006 to 2010 consecutively. However, then happens “The Decision” and the star bolted Cleveland in his free agency era and moved to Miami, where
he promised to win several titles and not just one or two and also all other things for his new team, instead of remaining humble and saying that he will deliver his best or will guide the franchise to the title.
Although James television interview was not a wise decision at all still LeBron has been criticised more in a biased way, as criticism is mostly based over his comments or statements rather than over his performances. However,
it is still not sure whether James has learned anything from his past mistakes and will avoid such things to happen again or keep doing things the way he used to.
However, from all of this what one can take away is that NBA never had and never will have a figure like James.
