Question:

After op piggie care?

2 piggies, both 3 are having an op to remove a lump. its booked for 8th july, and they have to be kept inside for a while after. they both live with another pig, but meet each other in the run when its sunny. would it be ok to keep them in the same small hamster cage for those few days inside? anything else i should know about looking after them after the op...?

thanks loads... any stories about sucess ful guinea pig ops welcomed!

  1. I at first thought you were talking about a pig (oink, oink).

    Guinea pig cages need to be large enough to provide them with enough room to exercise and "play," ideally, a minimum of 7.5 square feet (30 inches by 36 inches) for one pig. Plastic, wire, stainless steel or combinations of these materials are best. Wood is difficult to clean sufficiently. Glass cages do not provide adequate ventilation.
