  1. You were studying to become a dentist, correct? I believe in Pakistan, as in the UK, you study dentistry at the undergraduate level. You can not become a dentist in the US in this way. In the US, you study another subject at the undergraduate level - be it Biology, Chemistry, Nursing, English, History, your choice - also completing certain classes required as pre-requisites by dental schools. You then apply for a post-graduate course (grad school/dental school) in dentistry.

In the US you can not study to become a dentist at the undergraduate level. If you were to come to the US now, you'd need to enroll in a good quality university, study something other than dentistry, and then apply to dental school for your graduate work.

  2. If you have an equivalence to a high school diploma, such as a GED, you could test out of subjects that you already have learned by taking the CLEB test (google it) and earn credits that way. Be careful though, because the American way of learning things and the Pakistani way of knowing things is different (except math and science), so look at some library practice exam books just to be sure.

    Good luck!
