For US immigration, What will happen after paying visa fee..?

How long does it take to NVC to send file to embassy after paying visa fee?

It does vary a bit, but once the petitioner has done everything required, like submitted an affidavite of support, a month or so is about right. Then, once it arrives at the embassy, they'll contact you and ask you to do a number of things, like get police reports, and get an immigration physical. How long that takes is up to you. Once you're ready for interview you have to tell them and they'll schedule it. How long that takes depends on just how busy they are. If you're in Santo Domingo, for example, that itself can take quite a while.  

Do not buy your airline ticket at this point, unless you have an open date. That would be a very foolish thing to do. It's never automatic that you'll get your visa approved at the interview. They may need other documents or evidence and put your case on hold until you bring them in.

Normally it will take at least two months for the file to arrive at the embassy or consulate where you will be interviewed, and for them to notify you.  Make sure that your address is current.  If you don't hear from them in three to four months, call the immigrant visa unit and ask.
