After planting a apple and plum tree,How many years does it take for the tree to produce fruit?

  1. I have planted some of each in my back garden and I got one apple and some plums the first year.

    They are now about five years old and last year I got 12 apples of one tree and 20 plums of a plum tree.

    I would suggest it will be a few more years before they are fruiting on a commercial basis.

    This year i am going to have to do something to stop the wasps getting the plums


  2. well i grow oranges and lemons  not as crop but for fun the thing you have to make sure is that when they flower you have to get them pollenated otherwise they will not grow you can pollenate them urself or if you have alot odf bees around when flowering do not worry about it but when pollenating just get a paint brush and brush the pollen from one flower to another on the tree

  3. well it depends where you are and how well , old the tree is when you plant it. but it typically takes 5 years.
