i am trying to figure out how to use the scanner for the first time. i scanned the picture, and it scanned a smaller size then the actual page. so i opened it up in paint but could not figure where to go from there. <a href="http://s168.photobucket.com/albums... target="_blank"><img src="http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/... border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

it comes out like above w/ a white border on the right and bottom, not sure how to cut that out so it will look normal. please send me info by detail on what to do. thanks

  1. ~first in scanner you have options to preview, then select around image to scan, then select type of scan and quality resolution, for quality print  use 300+, for web use you can lower to 72/ 96 dpi,

    ~you can also use software program that came with scanner, also check for updates for scanner software if any, you may be better to import twain from scanner to better program directly, then edit for web use,

    ~in paint the program does not resize canvas to match photo if larger, or scan was set to full page and requires crop/cutout of image for web use,

    html tag requires &quot;a href&quot; for page html site, and &quot;img src&quot; for picture, not required if for both of same image,

    w3 html

    so for placing image in blog only use &quot;img src&quot; tag ,

    and if you wanted whole site to be seen, use &quot;a href&quot;

    ________

    other programs for  editing pictures if needed,

    Photofiltre ~requires plugin for scanner twain,

    Gimp ~has option for scan device

    http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.h...

    Picasa album viewer has option for scan device

    http://picasa.google.com/

    Photoscape : no scan option,

    ..

  2. In paint

    Go to attributes and change the width and height until the white border disappears
