I have been acting for about 6 years now and I have never done any type of filming. After seeing Heath Ledger's performance as The Joker in The Dark Knight I wanted to try it out...I'm not trying to sound full of my self, but I'm good. Everyone I know thinks I'm good. I just wanted to know if any of you been a decent role in a movie, is it fun? Is it really as amazing as it looks???

  1. I too, am a stage actor, but work with a friend who was a producer for a few years.

Many movies nowadays are 60% special effect, which takes alot out of acting. It can also take 4 weeks or repeting a 30 second secene over and over again.

Many people just enjoy stage, because it's only you, the actor, conecting with the audience. It's a rush, whereas screening can be repetitive, dull, and time consuming. Final products are amazing, but the processes don't fit the liking of many people.

  2. I'm a stage actor. And I got cast as a lead in a film at the University and hated every second of it. You have to make your actions as small as possible and shoot the same thing like ten times, from ten different shots.

But try it out. It's a preferance. It can't hurt you, only make you and your resume better.
