I need to get my ice skates sharpened, because they are slipping a little. However my skating lesson is right at the start of the skating session so I will not be able to get used to them b4 the lesson. Will it be ok for me to skate in them or will I find it difficult?

  1. Yes, it should be fine. It should feel a little slippery at first, but then it should be fine. =]]

    Good Luckk!

  2. hurry up and practice on them on your own.  Find some ice to skate on for an hour or so.

  3. i don't c y u shouldn't go. I mean stopping will b a bit tough and it might feel weird wen u do ur three turns cuz there could be sum resistance but other than that u should b good.

Good luck with ur skating!!!: )

  4. It will be ok just a little hard for you to stop, make sure not to go super fast right when you get in the ice, try moving then stopping a few times.

  5. You should be fine.  It may take a short time to get used to them, but you may find you like shape blades better.  Each skater has their own personal preference -- some like sharp, some don't.  Before your lesson, do a few stops and a few crossovers to get the feel for them, but don't worry -- you'll get used to it pretty quickly.  Good luck!  :)

  6. yess it will be ok just a bit harder to stop and it might feel a little smoother.  If you can try to go on for a half hour or so so that you can work them in a little

  7. ya their ok but it is a lil harder to stop. i just got mine sharpened yesterday and i cant stop lol hope this helps. but dont wrry u'll get used to them ♥

  8. They will have you grab edges easier, but stopping will be a little harder.  But it's nothing that your feet can't adjust to in just a few minutes of skating.  Have fun!

  9. yes it will be ok to go for lesson, and it will be difficult but you have to get use to it!

  10. If your an experienced skater it should take no time at all to get use to them.
