After taking a music grade, how do you "get" the UCAS points?

or do unis just believe you

  1. You get them depending on what grade you got at the end of it.


  2. Some music grades carry UCAS tariff points, so if you get the grade you automatically get the points. (you don't need to apply for them, you just get them automatically).

    Usually though, Admissions tutors won't consider these in an offer, unless you are applying to a specific music/drama course (and sometimes only if you are a borderline candidate, meaning you narrowly miss getting the correct tariff points for entry through your A-Levels/BTEC/IB etc.)
