  1. i would suggest contacting a localised union such as a labour union, unless you are already apart of one, then you should contact them.

  2. Don't bother with your supervisor anymore. Have you talked to Human Resources? They are the ones who should know about this. They are usually the ones who tell Payroll how much to pay on final checks, and if so, they can tell you why your paycheck was not what you expected.

Someone should at least be able to walk you through the check so you know exactly how they calculated your gross pay. At least you have a basis for disagreement then.

I worked in NY, and we had to have any departing employee's final check ready on the day he left.

  3. Go to the Board of Labor and Industries in your state and file a complaint. That should do the trick. Make sure you bring in proof of the hours that you worked & your check stubs.

  4. contact them one more time and tell them they have 10 days to pay you, or you are contacting the state dept of labor.

  5. Contact

closest to you. Trust me. If your claim is legit they will move VERY quickly.

  6. Notify them by certified mail that you need your money in hand within 10 days of receipt of the letter or you will notify your state department of labor.  Those state departments of labor exist to **** up companies that try to improperly withhold monies earned.  It is a very serious thing and something that a smart business does not want to become entangled.

  7. your best bet is to file a complaint with the state board of labor in your state

  8. Depending on your state here in ca after termination employer have 72 hrs to produce the check.  if the check is not provided in that time frame - every day after the employter accures penalities which are awarded to you.

  9. contact the EDD and tell them the company is not reporting the correct amount so as not to have to pay your unemployment insurance  or Board of Equalization and file a complaint stating the company has not paid you the salary you both agreed to. You can also file a complaint with the State Franchise Board and tell them the company is not reporting your correct wages so as not to have to pay their part of your state benefits such as disability insurance Workman's comp and so on if any of these complaints prove to be true the company will be put on a probation or fined or both in any case you will be compensated whatever back wages you are owed plus interest if the wages have been owed more the 3 months. If your a union member contact your local
