  1. Congrats

my husband has not long passed his test and we had to find out.

At 16 you can do your cbt and ride a 50cc at 17 you can get on a 125cc, you can do your theory test and practical test at 17 and have any size bike you want but it must be restricted to 33bhp until you are 21 hope this helps...

  2. You now wait until you are 21 to obtain a bigger certificate which lets you ride unrestricted.

(It's a full theory, training and test)

  3. Congratulations.  I'd have a word with the people you did the CBT with, you know them and they know you and will guide you onwards.

  4. There are various requirements dependant on engine sizes.

    Age 16 - 50cc

    Age 17 - 50cc, 125cc

    Age 21 - Any size

You will have to take another CBT course for the size of engine in which you choose to ride, also you will need to meet the age requirements.

Compulsory Basic Training courses will provide you with a certificate and the end to enable you to legally ride with 'L' plates and no passengers or sidecar.

*******   The CBT Certificates will Expire after 2 Years  *****

When you think that you have enough experience, you can take a Motorcyle theory test (worth revising for) and then a Practical test, where the examiner will usually follow you on his Motorcycle. [Meet at local Car test centre]
