to try and get rid of their manager.? They played with no enthusiasm, ambition and seemed headless. Johnny Wikinson kicked possesion away and should have been taken off after the first 20 minutes. We want a stand off or scrum half who can boss the team

  1. i agree, we certainly need a top scrum half. jw looked lacklustre and the whole team seemed to lack ambition. in my opinion, the team should be built for the 2011 world cup, get the younger players some experience now and ditch anyone who wont be playing in 3 years time at the top level. i think the french are going about it the right way. give them 18 months and they will be a forceful team

  2. Professionalism and global warming have conspired to give us a game where English players don't get muddy.  To the English team, Murrayfield was a bog in a rainstorm.  To Scotland it was nicely soft and a refreshing shower.  We didn't stand a chance.

Next time we play in Scotland, forget about fitness training.  We need a few hours mud wrestling to get us used to the conditions.

  3. why as English people do we try and associate blame.  Its the players on the park who need to take responsibility for there actions. No individual is to blame. we gave 11 penalties away totally unacceptable in any game of rugby. England need to reassert authority mixing experience with raw young natural talent. Oh and Jw is up with anyone in ability, i would not take a potential match winner off especially one of the best players in the world!

  4. I do not think any professional player would play bad to rid of a manager let alone a whole team!

What you say about ambition and enthusiasm missing is true, but there are many other reason why I think they lost.

The conditions did not suit them and being favourites to win, they underestimated, what had been until Saturday, a very bad Scotland team.

  5. on the day England's forwards were beaten by a superior Scottish pack and that's it

  6. cipriani, would of made no difference to the game at all, they were outplayed, sorry to say this but if england would of won if would of been unjust.Scotland were up for it whereas england just thought they could walk it without to many problems.

what ian balshaw did was an accident nothing else,he went for the ball just like the other player. If there was any doubt about that tackle they would of at least yellow carded him.

The scottish players did not seem to have a problem with what happened,so i think the right decission was made.Hopefully he should make a full recovery.

who is the t**t comment for then,at least put a name to it?

  7. Gouch,

    "Balshaw should be cited"

    What are you talking about?

    You're embarrassing yourself.

I'm no fan of Balshaw, but that was never intentional.

  8. Cipriani ain't got nothing to do with anything, he's not done much for England so I don't think he was missed anyway.

It's not exactly a secret that it JW has a bad game, they lose.

If England's opponents' forwards do the job, then England's backs don't get a look in. Yesterday paul Sackie hardly touched the ball, and none of the backs looked like scoring.

I would also cite Ian Balshaw for dangerous play too - this isn't football where u can slide in with your feet. You either tackle, or challenge for the ball.
