After the Super 14 is completed, will that be adios to the ELVs or will we see them in the Rugby future?

  1. As I understand it the SANZA nations want to play it in the Tri-Nations.

    However , the Northen Hemisphere apparantly want to play the end of season tour by NZ under the current rules and haven't yet decided if they want to even try to play ELV or not. So untill the IRB make a ruling , S14 is the only CONFIRMED use.

    Whatever rules they play under , one team is going to be disadvantaged.

      The Northern teams should take the jump. The S14 teams have had 3 games now to "settle in " for the year. Allready there are positive aspects ( ala back play from set piece ).It looks like team with a quick / accurate passing halfbacks are the ones cashing in. And to me that is rugby being played the way it's meant to be

    . But from now on is when we will really start to see them in operation.

    Games I'm looking forward to this week are Blues / Sharks and Crusaders / Force .... teams that have been winning well , against teams that are winning the "tight ones"


  2. They are being trailed by SANZAR at test level, in this year's Tri-nations series

    I think some will eventually be adopted by the IRB.
