  1. Extremism? Most Republicans are the ordinary folks.

  2. I didn't watch much of it, but I'm pretty darn liberal - missed the Democratic convention entirely due to Burning Man - and the speech I saw by Lieberman and the one I read by Palin seemed pretty in touch with ordinary folks to me.  I can't count all the articles I've seen today about people falling in love with Palin.

I guess one man's extremism is another's moderation.  For this old guy, who grew up back when there was an active Liberal party and an active Conservative party (and socialists and communists) in addition to Republicans and Democrats, they all seem pretty darned moderate nowadays.  I'd *like* to see an extremely liberal party.  But after seeing Nixon, Reagan, and W elected twice, I no longer underestimate how much those "out of touch" Republicans appeal to ordinary folks.  You shouldn't either - be sure to get out there and vote!

  3. The Republicans are 'Lost in Space'

I do like Sarah Palin's enthusiasm and drive, but I hate McCain. I live in Arizona and he's more of an idiot then Bush. The Republicans would have a better chance is Sarah was running for President. LOL!!

Obama is going to win in 2008. Republicans had their chance and totally ruined the country. Ever other country HATES America because of the Republicans. They spent TRILLIONS on a war the wasn't needs that sent the economy into a downward spiral. It was bad enough they fixed the election with that Florida vote reversal, which was run by Jed Bush.

  4. vote republican

sarah will be burning YOUR libraries books!!!

  5. Not at all; and I didn't notice any extremism.

I must have missed their fake Greek columns portraying Mount Olympus, like the ones they had at the DNC.

  6. I know I am not drinking your koolaid, but I say no.

  7. No, Mitt Romney, the liberal governor of a liberal state who is worth hundreds of millions is in touch with joe six-pack.  That's why he railed against the "east coast liberal elite".

And how can you say McCain is out of touch with average folks?!  Just because his wife wears $200K earrings and they have more houses than they can even count?

The whole thing was laughable - in a sad way.

  8. You are implying that "ordinary folks" should be prone to "extremism."  Unless I missed something, the lack of extremism is what makes people "ordinary folks."

  9. What extremism?

    McCain will win in 08

  10. I do know that I've never in my life seen so many rabid white people.

At the Democratic Convention, the audience looked like the America I live in.

  11. Completely out of touch. I don't understand how they keep conning people. It's incredible what people will believe.

  12. The Republican Party is a bunch of sore losers.  They screwed us all for the last 8 years, and I be dog gone if they think they are going to get another 4 more.

    Obama/Biden rocks.

  13. Very out of touch. They look lifeless and secretly miserable.

  14. Out of touch?

You see the polls my dear, the only one out of touch here may be you.

  15. They know me better than the Democrats!

"I didn't leave the Democrat Party...the Democrat Party left ME!"

    Ronald Reagan

  16. Most Americans don't bother to adopt kids in order to give them a better life.  Most Americans haven't actually suffered for this country.  The McCains aren't ordinary, but they are the best ones for the job.  The fact that Cindy McCain's dad was very successful is nothing to be held against them.

  17. did you mean out-of-touch this way:

nominate a GENUINE hero from a family of HEROES

    or

did you mean nominate a HOCKEY MOM with a Down's syndrome baby and a pregnant daughter...

YEAH, I can see why you'd think the kind of people that would nominate FREAKS like that are out-of-touch...

MAYBE you guys could go back to MAKING STUFF UP...

  18. By extremism, are you talking about the insane left-wing protesters?

  19. By display of extremism...do you mean the moderate Democrat Jew who used to be the DNC's VP candidate, or the lower-middle class woman who's a self-declared feminist with five kids running for VP, or the prisoner of war who has been beaten and bashed by his own party for working with the most liberal members of the other party, or the pro-choice former mayor of New York City, or the former Baptist preacher, or the former CEOs of Cerberus, e-Bay, and Hewlett Packard, or the host of people chanting "Country First, Party Second?"

  20. No Bucko. They are the ones who ARE ordinary folks. It's the socialist Hollywood left wing loons that took over the Democrat party that's out of touch.

    McCain/Palin '08

  21.   If by "extremism" you mean the demonstrations that turned into isolated battles with police, no.  "Zealots" exist in all walks of life and have many different causes they staunchly contest.  Problem with your "out of touch" comment, is that these people were opposing what the Republican administration has done for the last 8 years.  See, Democrats haven't done ANYTHING noteworthy or of substance in ALL those years, so other than running a socialistic, closet Muslim, anti_American candidate and defeat him in November, there's NOTHING the Dems have done to merit attention.

  22. Most people don't care about lowering gas prices and having their taxes raised.

  23. The extremism was not from the Republicans at all; those folks were Democrat Liberals.

  24. Yes.  And McCain's speech today spelled it out.. He said", these are tough times, times times for everyone - not knowing how to put food on the table...I can assure you in these tough times, I'll stand beside you, I'll stand beside you...."

Is that McCain's answer to stand beside you, stand beside you in tought times..... ridiculous!

  25. Do you really think the people displaying the extremism were ordinary folks?  Not the "folks" that I know.

  26. Extremism?  Bwahahahaha!  Better than n**i-like, chanting morons at the DNC.

  27. The Black Panther Wing of the Democratic Party is what is out of touch with the rest of America.

Sure everybody knows how to "renounce their whiteness" as Obama says.

  28. WHAT IS VISUAL EXTREMISM?...SINCE YOU ONLY SAW SOME AND HEARD NONE SOME DE SCRIPT MIGHT BE USEFUL..

  29. I guess that would depend on what your definition of "ordinary" is...I'm sure you could say the same thing about Democrats.

  30. Yes. McCain sealed his defeat with his VP pick. It cracks me up to see Republicans make Palin in to the symbol of what they stand for when she's a living a breathing joke to the world. Who are these people think they're kidding. :D

  31. Yes, most are.
